  • What if my car doesn’t run?

Non-running vehicles may still qualify. In some cases, we can arrange towing or transport. Contact us with your vehicle details to see what options are available.

  • What types of vehicles do you accept?

We accept most makes and models—cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans—regardless of age or mileage. Even if your car isn’t in perfect condition, we still want to make you an offer.

  • Is there a fee to sell my car?

No. There are no fees or hidden charges when you sell your car through Sell The Ride. The offer you receive is the amount you’ll be paid (unless there’s a loan balance to be settled).

  • Will you inspect my car?

Yes, a brief in-person inspection is usually required to confirm condition and details before finalizing the sale. We aim to keep this process quick and transparent—no pushy sales tactics, just straightforward information.

  • Do you accept leased vehicles?

Yes, leased vehicles can often be sold just like financed vehicles. We'll coordinate with your leasing company to get the current payoff amount and walk you through the process of ending the lease early.

In most cases, we can still work with you to complete the sale. Requirements vary by state, but Sell The Ride can help guide you through the process of obtaining a duplicate title or verifying ownership through your lender.

  • Can I sell a car that’s still being financed?

Yes. Sell The Ride will help you handle the loan payoff process. You’ll just need to provide your current loan information. If your car’s value is more than your remaining loan balance, you’ll get the difference. If you owe more than the offer, you can pay the difference at closing.

Once the deal is complete, you’ll receive payment quickly by check or direct deposit—whichever works best for you.

Offers are usually valid for 7 days or 500 miles, whichever comes first. This gives you time to consider your options while locking in a guaranteed price.

  • How is my offer determined?
